'I originally contacted Liz for help to stop an irritating little habit - biting and damaging my cuticles. It was a long time habit and often left my fingers raw and painful. The impetus to stop came when a friend asked me to be her matron of honour, and said we should go together and get our hair done and nails manicured - to do her proud on her wedding day I needed to have good looking hands! I had tried everything I could think of to stop, and asking Liz if she thought hypnotherapy would help was a last resort, as I was somewhat sceptical about its efficacy. I had two sessions with Liz, and realised that I had spent the whole evening after only the first one not even touching my fingers. The second session reinforced the change. Liz suggested a third session to ‘knock it on the head finally’, and also to start helping me with a confidence problem I have since suffering from a serious illness recently. I agreed immediately, firstly because it was a truly relaxing experience (a bit like being surrounded by a fat, soft warm duvet) and secondly because it helped me achieve what I wanted.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Liz; she is calm, very professional, utterly discreet and helped me stop my irritating habit in a pleasant and highly enjoyable way.'

'To say that I was a little sceptical when my Mum first told me that she was going to train to become a registered hypnotherapist would be an understatement. An image of Paul McKenna making people dance about a stage making fools of themselves kept reappearing in my head. However, as soon as Mum had completed the first stage of her training, I quickly realised the potential that hypnotherapy had to solve a huge number of issues.
Soon after gaining her qualification, Mum set up a treatment room in her home and started working with various clients. A family friend was almost immediately cured of her phobia of the dentist. Mum helped another client to sleep after many years of sleep deprivation. She has helped me to learn how to relax effectively after a long hard day looking after my baby.'

'At first a cynic, one session with Liz has helped me overcome my fear of the dentist which was beginning to take over my life. Over the past few years, my anxiety had been getting worse and worse, to the extent that I relied on tranquilisers to get through an appointment. I didn’t like taking drugs and needed an alternative solution. My session started with a discussion about the reasons for my anxiety and Liz sought to understand it’s nature and origin. With this understanding, she was able to talk me through some techniques to help me to calm down and then put me in a very comfortable state where she was able to calm and soothe me. At my next appointment, my dentist was astonished in the change in me. I wish I hadn’t waited so long!'

Having been diagnosed with breast cancer in September ’07 it was such a shock to my system. I decided that I would need physical and emotional support so through a recommendation I was given Liz Horton’s number.
I honestly don’t know what I would have done without her. She has been so supportive and inspirational to me, so much so that I don’t want to let her go.
